Web Site?

Design is very consistent, smart use of small images helps improve design and visibility, but also keeps pages load fast. Sports offer is as usual on the left side menu, login and account balance in top right corner, and most accessed user activities like "history", "my data", "deposit" and "withdrawals" are always visible at the bottom center of screen. Navigation is easy and intuitive.

Available bets are displayed in center of screen, and on top of available bets user can easily select another sports from drop down list. All tree odds formats can be easily switched on-the-fly. Offer of bets only show fixed odds, on the top of page you can select additional betting options which are plentiful. 10 languages supported, English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Romanian, Greek, Russian, Italian, Polish and latest translation is to Swedish.

Betting procedure?

Betting is easy and fast. By clicking on odds for selected bet, a bet slip appears on the right column side with selected event, odds and bet we placed. Next to bet just enter your stake, payout will be displayed automatically and if you click on "show max" a maximum stake amount is displayed. Bet slip allows very easy handling of selected bets.

What I miss is possibility to play system bets automatically from the Bet Slip like Yankee, Trixie, etc...

Offer and Odds?

Offer of Gamebookers is very balanced and ideal for an international punter.

20 sports to bet on, Formula 1., hockey, tennis, baseball, football, basketball, boxing, cricket, golf, handball, cycling, rugby, winter sports, snooker and horse racing. Best offer of bets according my observations is on soccer, tennis, basketball and ice hockey. Special focus Gamebookers has on soccer and with more than 50 soccer competitions! covered they have one of the largest soccer offer. Soccer bets offered are 1x2, double chance, handicaps, exact score, half time, ht/ft, halftime or full time, more goals, under/over, number of goals, winning margin, to score/not to score, goal scorer/score cast, bookings/corners, 1st goal, outright's/specials. Bets are ranging from just fixed odds for some marginal soccer leagues to all of the above for the top leagues. And that sums to average of 1,500 events a week. Except sports you can bet also on finances and different kinds of elections. Also a lot of specials. Singles and combos are accepted on all events.

Odds are average, but on some events slightly over. They are usually higher on beginning of the week, but they get slashed down very quickly, especially on favorites.

P2P betting (person to person) betting is a unique service of Gamebookers allowing users to bet against each other. You can lay your own odds yourself or bet on odds offered by other users. Gamebookers takes 4.25% commission only on winning bets. This service makes Gamebookers similar to betting exchanges.

Live betting offered on soccer, tennis, basketball. 25 no download Casino games.

Limits?

Minimum stake is 0,1 Euro, highest payout up to 75,000 Euro a week. Limits are rather low on some bets so if you are a big player Gamebookers may give you some troubles, I suggest Pinnacle Sports bookmaker for big whales out there. :)

Features?

Gamebookers has a few unique traits on it's web site.

They were the first bookie to offer P2P (person to person betting). They offer very good mobile phone support. You can bet with WAP enabled mobile phone and for all bets over 5 Euros receive FREE SMS with results of your bets back on mobile, worldwide. Live betting panel, sell ticket back to Gamebookers, InfoWorld (excellent stats for major European soccer leagues and news for every event, live scores), weekly Sports Quiz and a Community. Payfriends service that enables customers to transfer money between accounts at Gamebookers.

Pros & Cons?

Very large offer, numerous supported and fast money transfer methods, very easy and fast betting procedure, innovative features. Excellent customer care.

Average odds.

Changes since last review?

Since our last review in April 2006, Gamebookers was bought from Party Gaming, one of the world's largest online gaming companies who's most recognizable brand is Party Poker. This change for time being is only obvious through icons on Gamebookers homepage advertising other Party Gaming products, for the punter Gamebookers has 99% remained the same.

Conclusion?

Gamebookers is highly recommended bookie for all punters. If you are an international leisure punter or a beginner in sports betting there is no better starting point than joining Gamebookers. It's well balanced offer will suite every punter with average needs.

In short excellent offer, especially on soccer, easy and fast money transactions with no fees, excellent customer support, great Gamebookers unique features. Definitely a bookie you should register with!
